My Vintage Market Booth

First off - Happy Dad's Day to all the wonderful dad's out there - especially mine.  My dad helped me out at the vintage market this weekend.  I think he's starting to get the hang of it.  He was a pretty good salesman.  Mom helped too - she's great at organizing and packing.  So you can see why I need them both!  I'm so lucky to have such supportive parents.

Anyway, I finally remembered (and had time) to take pictures about 5 minutes before the gates opened at 8am on Saturday morning.  Here's what we came up with in the 2 hours we had to set up.  Also, during set up is when the dealers usually shop, so there are a few in the pictures (and mom and dad).

I bought some a lot of linens off of one of the dealers who was destashing because she was trying to start her own sewing business.  It never hurts to ask, "How much for all of them?"

It was a beautiful day, I met lots of great people, and unfortunately this will be my last market until August, because I have a summer class I have to take for my Masters program (at Butler - Go Bulldogs!).  It meets on Saturdays, which means less auctions and junkin.

If you saw anything from above that you just have to have - please email me (melissasantiques AT gmail DOT com).  If you're local you can come pick it up.  If you're not, I can list on etsy and will ship to you.

What a Weekend!

**Side note: this is my 100th post.  Yay!  Should I do a giveaway soon?**

I had one of the best junkin weekends in a long time. If  you've been following my Facebook page, then you  already know all the great goodies I bought.

On Saturday I hit the town-wide garage sales in Pittsboro.  This is the town I lived in during middle and high school.  I know the town like the back of my hand, so I drove all the streets and hit every single sale.  Want to see all of my amazing finds?

I know it's a little chippy, but I
couldn't pass this 12gal crown
crock for $5.  Staying right there
on my front porch.

Aprons, aprons, aprons!

Beautiful kitchen linens.

Hand embroidered baby quilt.

Cookie cutters, jadeite shakers, and Boy Scout canteen.

Vintage tool box!  Sold already! :)

2 typewriters in one day!!

2 things I always sell out of quickly: train cases and cameras.

Bar cart, ironstone plates, kitchen
utensils, and cigar boxes.

Knife holder, casserole, Tang pitcher,
Ball jar rubbers, books (including a
prayer book from 1909), coke trays,
and heart shaped Bake King pans.

Box of Ball jars.  I sold out of all
the jars I had bought garage
saleing last month.

Milk glass vases, awesome mid-century chip bowl, oil lamp,
FK Grog mugs, old bottles, Pyrex Cookie Jar.

More jars that I'll mostly use for canning.

Vintage bed linens.

Canning stuff for me and a cake carrier.

So much pink depression and
a nut grinder.

Find of the day: brand new Louis Vuitton purse purchased
from the Paris LV store -- the woman still had the receipt.
Yeah, I paid $8.  Be jealous.

Lots of vintage cards.  These boxes are full.  Some
vintage Christmas too - including creeper knee huggers.

These may be too sweet to part with.

Amazing ornaments.  With the original box.

Never used vintage kitchen tools.

Now on Sunday I headed north to attend the estate auction of an avid crafter...

This is the back of my truck after I got home from the
7 hour auction.

Isn't this folding rocking chair
AMAZING??

I love box lots!

And another...

How about some roller skates?  The boxes they are in
are pretty cool.  Also, this is a a new table for the flea.
Deal of the day for $1!

Old jars, ironstone bowls, FK casserole.

Vintage Pyrex baby bottles, old animal shaped bottles,
crock and mini s&p shakers.

Pyrex Blue Floral Promo, salts with spoons.

Tom's Peanut Jar.

Metal picnic basket full of old sewing notions, Little House,
Nancy Drew, and Hardy Boys books, and lots of floral frogs.

Another metal table for the flea - $3!
Lots of vintage Christmas! And a
child's chair.

These goodies will be available at my booth at the Robin Eye Country Flea Market & Garage Sale this Saturday June 15th from 8am - ??.  Come visit me!  I'll also have barn wood available from this barn.
